- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, chopped onion, minced garlic, beaten egg, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt.
- Gently mix the ingredients until just combined – avoid overmixing to keep the burgers tender.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties about ¾-inch thick.
- Press a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent bulging during cooking.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat or preheat your grill to medium heat.
- Cook patties for 5-6 minutes per side, until internal temperature reaches 165°F and juices run clear.
- Toast burger buns lightly if desired.

Don't overmix the ingredients, keep ingredients cold, add moisture-rich ingredients, cook to exactly 165°F, and let burgers rest for 2-3 minutes after cooking to redistribute juices.
