Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 4 cups plain Greek yogurt (full-fat works best)
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Optional: 1 cup fresh fruit puree (strawberries, mango, or peaches)

Method

Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, honey, vanilla extract, and sea salt. Whisk until the mixture is completely smooth and well combined. If you're adding fruit puree, gently fold it in at this stage.
  2. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. This helps the flavors meld together and ensures a smoother final texture.
  3. Pour the chilled mixture into a shallow freezer-safe container. Cover with a lid or plastic wrap and freeze for 2-3 hours, stirring every 30 minutes to break up ice crystals.
  4. After the last stir, let the frozen yogurt freeze completely for another 2-3 hours. When ready to serve, let it sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes to soften slightly before scooping.

Notes

Use full-fat Greek yogurt for creamiest results. Stir every 30 minutes during freezing to prevent iciness. Add mix-ins like chocolate chips or nuts after first hour of freezing. Store in airtight container for up to 2 months.
