- Wash and trim the green beans, then slice the mushrooms into even pieces. Mince the garlic and chop the fresh herbs.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the green beans and sauté for 4-5 minutes until they start to blister slightly.
- Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes until the mushrooms release their moisture and begin to brown.
- Reduce heat to medium and add the butter to the skillet. Once melted, add the minced garlic and thyme, stirring constantly for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Season with salt and pepper, then toss everything together until the vegetables are evenly coated in the garlic butter sauce.
- Remove from heat and stir in fresh parsley and lemon juice. Serve immediately while hot.
Notes
Don't overcrowd the skillet - cook in batches if necessary. High heat helps create beautiful caramelization. For best texture, reheat leftovers in a skillet.
