- Wash and thoroughly dry the green beans. Trim the ends - this step is crucial for even cooking and better texture.
- In a large bowl, toss the green beans with olive oil, making sure each bean is lightly coated. This helps them crisp up beautifully in the oven.
- Spread the green beans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Avoid overcrowding - this ensures they roast instead of steam.
- Roast for 12-15 minutes, or until the beans start to blister and develop brown spots. Remove from oven and sprinkle with minced garlic, parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and paprika if using.
- Return to oven for another 3-5 minutes until the cheese is melted and fragrant. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
