Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until all ingredients are well incorporated. Avoid overmixing to keep the patties tender.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a patty, about 1/2-inch thick. Press a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent bulging during cooking.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the patties and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the patties are golden brown and juicy.
- Place the cooked patties on a bun and top with your favorite toppings such as lettuce, tomato, avocado, and a dollop of Greek yogurt or your favorite sauce. Serve immediately with a side of savory garlic parmesan roasted green beans or a fresh salad.
Notes
Adding a tablespoon of olive oil or a splash of vegetable broth to the mixture helps keep the turkey patties juicy. For firmer patties, refrigerate them for 30 minutes before cooking. These patties can also be grilled for a smoky flavor.
